In an effort to preserve the neighborhood character, scale, and streetscape, CORE10 connected two existing residences together to form the new student center for the church. The street faces were unchanged, while the backs of the houses were transformed into a new circulation hub, organized around a new courtyard, playground, and connection to a new parking garage. The interior was completely transformed into a modern, fresh space for teens to fellowship, worship, and learn together in the new cafe, auditorium, and classrooms. And the masonry design and workmanship were hailed as "expert" in the spring 2015 issue of Masonry.
