BACKSTAGE RENOVATIONS
Our first project for The Muny and our very first theatre project! The Muny invited CORE10 to interview for the project and was selected from a small group which included other notable local firms. Our commitment to a process of embedding ourselves within our client’s organization and observing their operations from the inside convinced Muny leadership to select us for this sweeping renovation of the entire backstage and administrative area. We took stock of 30k square feet of space spread across multiple buildings built across multiple decades to create a new master plan. We were able to recommend against The Muny’s original assumption that more space was needed. Instead we found that by reorganizing existing functions and improving adjacencies that we could provide more effective spaces for the entire staff and add amenities for patrons.
